  12.                               So what's this?

  15. This is a set of TransferAnimations for the most common Amiga Web browsers:
  16. IBrowse, AWeb II and Voyager 2.0NG.  You will soon notice the similarity to
  17. the original Netscape (TM) transfer animations.  ;-)
  18.  
  19. In  fact  I  downloaded  an  AnimGIF of the original Netscape animation and
  20. worked  several  hours  to  remove  the  "N"  and  replace  it  with my own
  21. creations.   I  have added the original background animation so you can add
  22. your own logo.

  24. The transfer animations are provided in multiple sizes. They use 16 colors.

  26.  Normal  30 x 30   small size for 1:1 pixel ratio
  27.  Big     60 x 60   large size
  28.  Wide    60 x 30   for HighRes screens
  29.  High    30 x 60   for LowRes Lace screens (see my IBrowse screenshot)

  31. I  have also included a button set for AWeb-II 2.2.  The Hotlist and Status
  32. buttons still require some painting (currently it's only text).  The button
  33. set is based on the "FabImages" set by Fabien Wernly.  And these are ripped
  34. from Netscape.  ;-)

  36. The AWeb-II button set also exists as a slim LO version for LowRes screens.

  39.                           About the screen shots

  42. So  why should one use a LowRes screen for surfing?  Well, there are people
  43. who  only  have  an  ECS  chipset  in  their Amiga.  I have created a small
  44. program  that  even  uses  a LowRes ExtraHalfbrite screen with a fixed base
  45. palette.  For maximum image quality, this requires some extra tweaking with
  46. the  system  color routines.  This is a hack and will not be released.  But
  47. nevertheless  you  can have a look at some screen shots.  Please notice the
  48. palette window at the bottom which shows all 64 colors.  Soon I will have a
  49. Picasso II+ board, so this LowRes stuff won't bother me any more.  ;-)
